2 Puppies Left!

Posted on 19 August, 2019 at 18:30

I am in prayer every day over our puppies. Not only for their health and well-being, but for the Lord to bring families who are looking over to our website or other advertisement we have. I know our puppies are nice and high quality pets! And having a litter of eleven is stressful even though I do my best to have faith they will all go by August 24th.

You know what you can do? Just say a short little prayer for us here at LaBelle Labradors! We can use all the prayers we can get! Thanks for caring!

Posted on 5 August, 2019 at 22:55

I can't believe a whole month has passed and the Ronies are 4 weeks old now :D

And all of our Black males are spoken for! I give all the praise and honor and Glory to our Lord God Almighty for all things, including bringing families to give our little darlin's their new homes!

So now we have 4 puppies available in this litter and the girls will have a break until next spring!

In the meantime, please see our Facebook page under LaBelle Labradors for updates and fun posts!

Many blessings to you all!

5 Puppies Available

Posted on 30 July, 2019 at 17:05

Whew!

Eleven puppies are a mountain of puppies to care for that is for sure and for certain!

Our Lord has blessed us with six families that have come forward to set down their deposits for a puppy of their own...which leaves us with 5 pups available yet in this litter (actually, this is our last litter for 2019).

Next year Maggie May Hawkins, our Yellow Lab, will be 2 years old and ready for her OFA certification. We have already had her genetically tested for the top 3 diseases that seem to run in the Labrador Retriever breed and she passed with flying colors! I trust her x-rays will come out well, too!

More on our summer litter later...

Repeat Customer

One of the most humbling aspects of raising Labs is the family who comes back for another puppy. Honestly...

We work hard to do everything right, yet, every year we are learning something new! We never really "know it all" because I feel as though I am a perpetual student of life. Living life and raising Labs is an ongoing process. I do my best to keep educated and to learn from those who have lived a longer life...not to mention those who have raised Labs for a longer period of time, too. And you wanna know something? One way of doing things doesn't work for every dog. In much the same way children are all different, dogs each have their own personalities with their own quirks and "druthers".

Which bring me to this; I have had families come back for another dog. It may be a year or two later but they come back! It gets me right in the center of my heart. It humbles me and it is an honor to serve families with another puppy that is something they want to experience again for the second time.

Indeed...

Seven Puppies to Go!

Posted on 14 July, 2019 at 21:45

We are back and the news is bigger than ever...4 puppies have been claimed in this litter. I am also waiting on a young lady about the fifth pup. I must be patient! The breeder I go to for the stud for our females tells me I should broaden my customer base by shipping puppies...then we would have the entire nation at our beck n call. But guess what? I can't do it. Just the thought of it sends shivers down my spine! UGH!

Nevertheless, word of mouth is a great advertiser. Imean, families who already have a puppy form us telling people they know and so on and so on and so on...well, you get the picture.

And so it is.

Pepper had 11 Puppies!!!

Posted on 9 July, 2019 at 20:20

Hold on to your hats, folks...Pepper whelped (that's what they call the birth of puppies) her pups on July 8th and it all started at 11:30 am. I wish I could tell you that it is a nice time to begin the whelping process except that very process really begins a few hours before the actual birth of that first pup.

What I mean by that is...Pepper was aggitated and panting profusely...also putting a new meaning on pacing the floor...was she ever pacing. And throwing up every so often even if it was a dry heave. then she wants to go outside to eliminate many times over. I mean this dog was EMPTY by the time the first puppy showed her pretty little black face to the world.

Pepper whelped one puppy every 1/2 hour for the first 4 hours. And she snuck en extra pup in their between 2 and 2:15. Then I needed a nap...immensely...so Rob took over supervising things. I went back down to the family room and Lo and behold there were 2 more pups! I honestly thought he was joking me until I saw it for myself.

So there you have it. And the story has just begun...

Pepper is in the Family Way!

Posted on 6 June, 2019 at 11:05

Good morning! Right when we get through with one litter we have moved on to the next! Though I do have about a month and a half in between to put in my garden and have a couple garage sales, but not necessarily in that order!

Pepper, our Black female, is beginning to show her babies bump! Pepper has been bred to Dash this year and we are hoping for Blacks and Chocolates! Pepper is 7 years old this year and had a spring litter last year but she will have a super summer litter this year! They are due around the 4th of July! Imagine that! Everybody will be out and about celebrating our Independence from British rule and the Romans will be home supervising a new litter into the world! How exciting is that? Would you agree just as exciting as a firework display?

Stay tuned...

One Puppy Left!

Posted on 9 May, 2019 at 22:10

It's hard to believe that we have one puppy left and our puppies are due to go home in 2 days! Wow!! My husband and I really bonded this these little darlin's and it will be a bitter-sweet farewell...

Though we have one male chocolate puppy left to claim...and it surprises me that it is the case. But we do leave this in God's capable hands because, as I have stated many times before...this is God's business and how he handles it is up to him. I will tell you, though, it's nerve wrecking sometimes waiting to see how He makes it all happen. But that is what faith is all about now isn't it? Waiting and believing the best will come to pass because our Lord is in control of all things all the time.

Whew! Well, we have 7 very excited and happy families waiting with bated breath to get thier little one this weekend. And even one is going home on Mother's Day this year! Imagine that!

Last weekend Pepper was bred to Piddle Creek's Mad Dash...the same that sired Coco's litter. And they are VERY nice pups! And for 1/2 the cost of one of those big kennels! Her litter is due around the 4th of July. The whole world will be out watching the fireworks and celebrating our Independence from Britian and we will be ushering in a new litter of pups with Pepper! But that is okay. We love what we do, right?? RIGHT!
